I currently teach Arabic 1-4 at Boston Latin Academy, and in the past I also taught French. I began studying Arabic on a whim during my freshman year of college at Tufts University and haven't looked back since! I later returned to Tufts for my Master of Arts in Teaching before I began teaching Arabic.
I have fallen in love with the hospitality and warmth of the people of the Arab World, and with the beauty and logic of the Arabic language. I have been fortunate to travel extensively in the Arab World, including in Jordan, Palestine and Israel, Morocco, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. My goal as an Arabic teacher is to provide students with tools to begin exploring the cultures and languages of the world. I hope that they will learn about the world with deep curiosity and appreciation, and I aim to make this type of exploration feel approachable. I believe strongly that studying languages and cultures helps young people grow into confident leaders who promote cooperation, communication, and innovation.
